With its lemony scent and hint of rose aroma, lemongrass is an essential ingredient in teas. Its essential oil consists mainly of citral, which gives the leaves a subtle citrus flavour and aroma.

Lemongrass is known to offer many therapeutic and health benefits. Widely used to alleviate certain respiratory conditions including sore throats, lemongrass has earned a reputation for its anti-pyretic property which reduces high fevers.

Lemongrass also has powerful pain relieving properties. It helps to alleviate muscle spasms by relaxing the muscles thereby leading to the reduction of pain-related symptoms. It is useful for all types of pain including headaches, abdominal pain, joint pains, muscle pains, digestive tract spasms, muscle cramps, stomachache and others.

Lemongrass has a refreshing taste, wonderful aroma and brilliant colour which makes it a pleasurable tea to see, smell and drink.
