
Hojicha Japanese Matcha
Regular price $ 39.00Hojicha is distinctive from other Japanese green teas because it is roasted in a porcelain pot over charcoal, whereas most Japanese teas are steamed. The tea is fired at a high temperature, altering the leaf colour tints from green to reddish brown. The process was first performed in Kyoto, Japan, in the 1920s and its popularity persists today.
This Hojicha tea is then hand milled by our founder, creating the absolute freshest made-to-order matcha available.

Preparation:
1. Scoop half a tea spoon of Ceremonial Matcha into your cup
2. Pour 1oz 165ºF water into cup
3. Whisk, creating a consistent level of foam
4. Add frothed milk or milk alternative for tea lattes or top with hot water
